Get to know the Green Way Express Environmental Facts Label!

Green Way Express launched the Environmental Facts Label as a means to communicate to our customers how we are progressing in our environmental efforts. The label is divided in three main areas:
- Energy Consumption - We communicate Green Way's energy consumption and compare it to previous periods to determine the energy savings. Energy saving initiatives result in savings to U$ and the planet.
- Recycling Program - We report how many pounds of carton, paper and plastic Green Way Express recycles vs. the total waste produced. Today, we recycle 95% of the waste that is produced to the point that we have eliminated our waste management service provider. By negotiating with other businesses in our industrial park , we share garbage dumpsters for the little waste we produce (5%).
- Gas Emissions - Using GPS technology, we measure the toxic emmisions (CO2, VOC & Nox) produced by our vehicle fleet. We do this with the purpose of establishing strategies to reduce them. One of those strategies is the use Liquified Propane Gas (LPG) or hybrid electric-gasoline vehicles in the near future.
